Build Your Career in Denmark — With Clarity and Confidence
You do not need to keep trying harder without knowing what is working. You need a clearer direction.
I help internationals understand how the Danish job market really works — from CV positioning, LinkedIn, and networking culture to interviews, applications, and long-term career strategy.
If you’re looking for a career coach in Denmark, you may also come across the terms career counselling, career consulting and career coaching. My approach combines practical career guidance with coaching where appropriate, depending on what you need.
Whether you are new to Denmark, changing direction, or feeling stuck after many applications, career counselling gives you practical, honest, and personalised support so you can move forward with more clarity.

Applying, waiting, repeating — and still not seeing results?
Maybe you have been applying for months without getting interviews.
Maybe you have strong experience, but it does not seem to come across clearly in the Danish job market.
Maybe you are unsure whether the problem is your CV, your LinkedIn profile, your application strategy, your Danish level, your network, or something else entirely.
At some point, it can start to affect your confidence.
You may begin to question your skills, your direction, or whether there is something obvious you are missing.
I have seen this many times.
And often, the issue is not your competence.
It is positioning.
It is cultural nuance.
It is strategy.
And sometimes, it is simply not knowing what Danish employers are actually looking for.
Clarity. Strategy. Cultural Understanding. Confidence.
I do not just review CVs. I help you understand how the Danish job market actually works, so you can position yourself more clearly and communicate your value in a way that makes sense here.
Because Denmark is not just “another European country.”
Denmark has its own workplace and recruitment culture.
It is shaped by flat hierarchies, informal communication, trust, collaboration, modesty, and a strong focus on equality.
If you come from a more hierarchical or non-Nordic culture, some of the signals can feel confusing.
You may wonder how much confidence is too much, how directly you should talk about your results, how to show seniority without sounding too formal, or how to present your international experience in a way Danish employers understand.
Together, we decode this.
We work on:
- How Danish employers evaluate profiles
- What “fit” often means in Denmark
- How to position your international experience as an advantage
- How to communicate confidence without relying on hierarchy
- How to adapt to equality-driven workplaces without losing yourself
This is not about changing who you are. It’s about understanding the system you’re entering, so you can move in it with more clarity and confidence.
You leave with:
- A clear focus
- A culturally aligned strategy
- A practical action plan
- More confidence in how you present yourself

This session gives you space to pause, look at your situation clearly, and understand where to focus next.
You may come in thinking

- More realistic and specific job targets aligned with your background
- Insight into how your profile may be perceived in Denmark
- A practical 30-day action plan more clarity about where to focus your energy next

Progress Path – For professionals who are applying but not yet seeing results
Applying without results can quietly affect your confidence, especially when you know you have relevant experience.
Often, the issue is not your competence. In Denmark, strong candidates can be overlooked because their experience, strengths, and motivation are not communicated in a way that matches local expectations.
Progress Path gives you structured support to improve your positioning, strengthen your materials, and build a more focused job search strategy.
What changes when we work together:
- Your CV becomes clearer, more targeted, and aligned with Danish expectations — without losing your voice
- Your LinkedIn profile reflects your strengths in a way that feels authentic and credible
- Your applications become more focused, intentional, and relevant to the roles you are targeting
- You understand what “fit” can mean in a flat, equality-driven work culture
- You learn how to network in a way that feels natural, respectful, and not forced
- You become more confident in how you present your international experience
We do not rewrite who you are. We adjust how your value is communicated, so Danish employers can understand more clearly what you bring.
Details about Progress Path:
Session 1 – Clarity & Direction
We begin by stepping back before moving forward.
This session creates the foundation for the rest of the programme. Together, we look at your background, strengths, transferable experience, current challenges, and how your profile may be perceived in the Danish job market.
We explore:
- What may currently be slowing your progress
- Which roles, fields, and environments may fit your background and ambitions
- What seniority level feels realistic and strategic
- How your experience can be positioned more clearly in Denmark
- Where your applications should be focused
We do not only ask, “What job can I get?”
We also look at what kind of direction makes sense for you, your experience, and the life you are building in Denmark.
From there, we create a clearer application strategy, so you can stop applying broadly and start moving forward with more intention.
You leave the session with:
- Clearer job targets
- Defined focus areas
- A structured next-step plan
- More confidence in your direction
This clarity reduces noise and sets the tone for everything that follows.
Session 2 – Application Strategy in Practice
This session focuses on one real role you are interested in applying for, so we can make the work practical and specific.
Before the session, I ask you to send:
- The job description for a specific role you want to apply to
- Your latest CV
- Your cover letter, if relevant
I review the materials carefully in advance.
During the session, we look at:
- How your CV and application align with the role
- Where your experience may need clearer positioning
- Whether you may be underselling or overselling certain parts of your background
- How tone, structure, and cultural expectations influence the application
- How Danish employers may interpret your experience and motivation
You do not only receive edits. You learn the thinking behind the changes, so you can apply the same principles to future applications in your field.
This session also gives space for questions such as:
- How to position yourself at the right seniority level
- How to navigate Danish language expectations
- How to address gaps, transitions, or non-linear experience
- How to make your motivation feel specific and credible
The goal is that your applications become clearer, more focused, and easier for Danish employers to understand.
Session 3 – Interview Preparation in the Danish Context
In this session, we focus on how to prepare for interviews in Denmark and how to communicate your experience with clarity and confidence.
We explore:
- Common interview formats in Denmark
- What types of questions you may be asked
- How equality and flat hierarchy can influence the tone of the conversation
- What Danish employers often listen for beyond your technical skills or formal experience
- How to answer questions in a way that feels clear, relevant, and natural
- How the offer and negotiation stage typically works
You will understand not only what to say, but also how to communicate your value in a way that feels aligned with Danish expectations.
The goal is to help you enter interviews with more clarity, cultural understanding, and grounded confidence.
Rhythm of the Program
We usually meet every one or two weeks, depending on your situation, timeline, and capacity.
This gives you time to apply what we discuss, reflect on what you notice, and return to the next session with new insights or questions.
The rhythm is designed to create momentum without overwhelm.
You have structure and accountability, but also enough flexibility to move at a pace that feels realistic.

Next Chapter Program – Build a stronger job-search strategy in Denmark
Sometimes one or three sessions are not enough.
If you have been job searching for some time, feel unsure where the problem lies, or know that several parts of your approach need attention, Next Chapter gives us the time to work through them properly.
Over six sessions, we look at the bigger picture of your job search and then work practically on the areas that are most important for you — from direction and positioning to LinkedIn, networking, applications and interviews.
The programme gives you structure, but it is not rigid. Your job search may change while we work together: you might get invited to an interview, receive a rejection you want to understand, discover a new direction, or need to adjust your strategy.
That is why we combine a clear framework with enough flexibility to work on what becomes most relevant along the way.
The aim is not simply to improve one CV or one application. It is to help you understand what is and is not working, make stronger decisions, and develop a job-search approach you can continue using independently.
How the Program Is Structured
The six sessions unfold in two phases.
Phase 1 — Direction & Positioning (Sessions 1–3)
We start by understanding where you are now, what you are aiming for, and how your experience is currently coming across in the Danish job market.
Session 1 — Direction & Job-Search Strategy
We look at your current situation, target roles, priorities and the challenges you have experienced so far.
Together, we identify where to focus your effort and what may need to change.
Session 2 — Positioning & CV
We look at how your experience, strengths and value are communicated.
We work with your actual CV and relevant roles to make sure your positioning supports the direction you are pursuing.
Session 3 — LinkedIn & Networking
We look at your LinkedIn profile, visibility and network.
We develop a networking approach that fits both the Danish job market and your own style — including who to connect with, how to approach people and how to build professional relationships over time.
Phase 2 — Applications, Interviews & Adjustment
Once your direction and positioning are clearer, we focus on how your strategy is working in practice.
Session 4 — Applications & Job-Search Approach
We review the opportunities you are targeting and how you approach applications.
We can look at job selection, tailoring, motivation, company research and whether your current strategy is giving you the best chance of getting interviews.
Session 5 — Interviews & Rejection Review
We look at your previous interviews, rejections and any feedback you have received.
Together, we identify patterns, explore what may be affecting your results and work on how you communicate your experience, motivation and fit during interviews.
If you have an upcoming interview, this session can also be used for focused preparation.
Session 6 — Your Priority Session
The final session is deliberately flexible.
We use it for whatever has become most important during our work together — for example:
- preparing for an interview or second interview
- reviewing a new opportunity
- salary or offer discussions
- another application
- networking follow-up
- reassessing your target roles
- adjusting your strategy based on the results you are getting
This means the programme can respond to what actually happens during your job search, rather than following the exact same process for everyone.
6 x 60 mins / 7900 DKK
After booking: Once your payment is confirmed, I’ll contact you within 48 hours and send you my calendar link, so you can choose a time for your first session.
Strategic Add-On: Mock Interview
This is not interview practice for the sake of practice.
It is a realistic, structured interview simulation tailored to a specific role and company you are targeting.
Before the session, I review the job description, the company’s positioning, and the likely expectations for the role, so the practice feels focused, relevant, and close to the real conversation.
During the session, we look at how your answers, tone, structure, and positioning come across in practice. You gain insight into what is working well, where your message may need more clarity, and how cultural nuance can influence the interview experience in Denmark.
Afterwards, we debrief in detail, refine your messaging, and adjust where needed, so you can enter the real interview feeling more prepared, grounded, and clear in how you present yourself.

Why am I not getting interviews in Denmark?
When you are not getting interviews, the first reaction is often to rewrite your CV. Sometimes that is exactly what is needed. Perhaps the document is difficult to scan, your most relevant experience is hidden, or the way you describe your work does not make your contribution clear. In many cases, however, the real problem…
