Find Your Place Coaching
For people trying to rebuild confidence, connection, and find their place again after moving abroad for a partner or work, or returning home after life abroad.

This may be for you if…
- You moved abroad for your partner or work, and this new chapter feels harder than expected
- You are trying to build meaningful connection, but it has not happened as naturally as you hoped
- Your routines, relationships, independence, confidence, or work identity have shifted since moving
- You look like you are managing from the outside, but inside you feel disconnected or unsure how to find your place
- You have returned home after living abroad, but home does not feel as familiar as you expected
- Some relationships have changed, and you are trying to understand how living abroad has shaped what matters to you now
- You want a calm and structured space to reflect clearly, understand yourself better, and move forward in small steps
Support That Matches Where You Are
Not everyone needs the same level of support.
That’s why coaching is structured in two pathways depending on the depth and duration you need.
Hi, I’m Szilvia
I moved to Denmark as an accompanying spouse, so I know what it can feel like when moving abroad begins with someone else’s opportunity and you suddenly need to rebuild your own life in a new place.
Over time, I found my own direction again personally, socially, and professionally.
I later became a people leader and hiring manager, supporting others through uncertainty, confidence challenges, and career transitions.
I am a Certified Professional Coach through Coach Transformation Academy.
Today, I bring together lived experience, leadership background, and professional coaching training in a calm, structured, reflective, and gently challenging approach.
I offer coaching in English and Hungarian, with sensitivity to what it can feel like to build a life, work, and find your place across cultures.

Coaching with me
In coaching, we may work on and explore:
- understanding why this transition feels harder than expected
- rebuilding confidence after moving abroad or returning home
- creating routines that help you feel more grounded
- building meaningful connection in your new or changed environment
- exploring what matters to you now
- understanding how the move has affected your work identity, relationships, and your independence
- noticing the thoughts, fears, expectations, or assumptions that may be holding you back
- moving forward in small steps toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and your own
Below, you’ll find two ways we can work together — depending on where you are right now.
If you’re unsure which path feels right, you’re welcome to reach out at szilvia@decodingdenmark.com, and we can clarify it together.

FAQs
What is the difference between Career Counselling and Coaching?
Career Counselling is structured support for navigating the Danish job market.
We work on:
- Career direction
- CV & LinkedIn positioning
- Applications & interviews
- Cultural expectations in Denmark
- Strategic job search planning
Coaching focuses more on internal clarity — confidence, identity, decision-making, transitions, and personal or professional growth.
If your main goal is to move forward in the Danish job market, Career Counselling is usually the right starting point.
I’m unsure which service I need. What should I do?
That’s completely normal.
If you’re navigating job search or career positioning in Denmark, Career Counselling is likely the best entry point.
If your challenge feels more internal — confidence, direction, identity shifts — Coaching may be more supportive. You’re welcome to reach out at szilvia@decodingdenmark.com , and we can briefly clarify what would fit your situation best before booking a program.
What results can I expect from Career Counselling?
You can expect clarity and strategy.
People I work with typically gain:
- Clear direction on which roles to pursue
- A CV and LinkedIn profile aligned with Danish expectations
- Stronger interview preparation
- Cultural understanding of workplace norms
- Greater confidence in how they present themselves
The goal is not just more applications — but more traction.
What results can I expect from Coaching?
Coaching creates internal clarity and steadiness.
Professionals I support often experience:
- Reduced overthinking
- Stronger self-trust
- Clearer decision-making
- Alignment between values and actions
- Greater emotional calm during transitions
The focus is long-term growth, not quick fixes.
How does payment work?
For single sessions, full payment is required in advance to confirm your booking.
For programs and packages, full payment is required before we begin.
If needed, we can discuss a payment plan together.
All payment details are shared clearly before we start.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals.
Some people benefit from one focused session.
Others choose a structured program for deeper or ongoing work.
We can always start with one step and decide together what would be most supportive.
Do I need to prepare before a session?
For Career Counselling, you may be asked to share your CV or LinkedIn profile in advance.
For Coaching, simply bring what feels relevant or present to you.
You don’t need to have clarity before we meet — that’s part of the process.
Is everything confidential?
Yes.
All sessions are fully confidential and conducted with respect and professionalism.
This is a space where you can speak openly and reflect honestly.
